 A Brief Message on the Use of AI

As a creative, the era of AI has been changing the game at break-neck speeds. In just two years time, AI generated content has gone from abstract bordering on the absurd to nearly indistinguishable from reality. The rise in generative AI has many afraid, and for good reasons, however I believe that much like any tool or technological development, it has its limits and must be used responsibly. Having spent recent months familiarizing myself with these incredibly powerful tools, I believe that AI will never truly be able to replace a mind unique to humans and must instead be seen as a tool to enhance and augment human creativity. There were many who feared the internet when it was developed, just as people feared the widespread adoption of automobiles before that, and the printing press before that. In truth, many of our technological breakthroughs can be scary if not wielded safely and responsibly. And though the creative and digital landscapes are likely to drastically change over the coming months and years, I believe that at its heart, these will always be human-led endeavors.
